Rick Warren has been caught praising Syria. His denials that he praised Syria are a lie. Joseph Farah, editor of WorldNetdaily.com writes

Rick Warren is fast showing himself apostate. Let me list several recent developments involving Rick Warren He has:

Made a trip to Syria where he alleged praised the government of Syria

Invited pro-partial birth abortion, pro-gay lobby Senator Barack Obama to speak at Saddleback Church, where Rick Warren pastors.

Launched P.E.A.C.E. plan-a social gospel program where doctrine is minimized and ecumenical social action is emphasized. The social gospel is nothing new. The mainline denominations tried about 100 years. It resulted in those denominations falling away. They rejected the Bible. This social gospel will end in postmodern apostasy.

Rick Warren bragged to Joseph Farah, that because he was a member of the Council of Foreign Relations, that he knew more about the Middle East than Joseph Farah. His claim has been partially confirmed on the Council of Foreign Relations website.

My conclusion concerning Rick Warren:He is leading the Church away from Biblical foundation and towards apostasy. He advocates friendship with the world .He also advocate a social gospel approach that is known to produce apostasy. Such an approach produced modernist apostasy in the early 20th century in the mainline denominations and will lead Evangelicalism into postmodern apostasy. He is cozy with an organization that advocate world government and is dedicated to the destruction of national sovereignty.The Council of Foreign Relations is composed of some of the most powerful people on the planet. This organization is certainly part of the secret community that rules the planet. Rick Warren is therefore committing spiritual adultery with the great whore.

The Bible is quite clear in dealing with this. Pastor Rick Warren must distance himself from the world. until then the child of God would do well to reject him as a false teacher and view both his doctrine and life through suspicious eyes :

1Jo 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Jam 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Pastor Rick Warren is moving increasingly towards the left-and towards apostasy. I have found a video on YouTube concerning his P.E.A.C.E. plan. The tone in these videos is much different than his purpose driven books.

In this video he advocate ecumenical relationship with non-believers as key to changing the world. Here are a few quotes from that video

"If you can only work with people that you agree with you've just narrowed your army to a small sliver of humanity cause not even all Christians agree with you..."

"...when I'm out trying to working on trying to stop AIDS, I'll work with an atheist, I'll work with a gay person. I'll work with somebody who totally disagrees with me.If they wanna work on a issue, fine.Why? We're building a bridge..."

Exactly how will Pastor Rick Warren work with homosexuals on stopping AIDS. Evangelicals and homosexuals usually have diametrically opposed position on many aspects of the AIDS issue. The Evangelical response emphasizes trying to reduce the incidence of sexual immorality because sexual immorality places those who practice it at greater risk of infection. Homosexuals deny that and generally demonize Evangelical efforts to combat AIDS. Will he insist that homosexuals come around to see things from the Evangelical perspective. The tone of this video would seem to indicate that if he is forced to choose, that he will push Evangelicals to adopt the homosexual position on AIDS. If his actions on global warming, he will steer Evangelicals to keep silent on the increased risks of AIDS and other health hazards that more commonly afflict those who engage in the homosexual lifestyle.

The problem with ecumenical action is that Christians get too cozy with the world. when the Church begins to respect to the opinions of the world, then the world begins to influence the church.Rick Warren is leading Evangelicals into the same trap that mainline denominations fell into 100 years ago. Those relations with the world caused mainline churches to reject the Bible and believe the so-called higher criticism.They fell to modernist apostasy. The remnant that was faithful to God's Word became what we now call Evangelicals

Evangelicalism is about to fall into postmodern apostasy. Postmodern attacks on the Bible center more on interpretation than inspiration. Evangelicalism is about to twist the Bible to make it fit the world's philosophies. Again,only a small remnant will remain faithful to the Word of God

Evangelicalism Today

Evangelicalism today is in the same situation that Mainline denominations were in just before the Modernist onslaught destroyed them. Modernism came in with so-called higher criticism to deny the inspiration and historical accuracy of the Scriptures. The remnant of Bible believing Christians convincingly refuted these arguments. Evangelicalism emerged from that remnant and eventually displaced mainline denominations as the primary stream of "Protestantism".

Today Postmodernism has displaced Modernism as the dominant cultural trend. Postmodernism is devastating Evangelicalism in much the same way that Modernism devastated Mainline denominations, Postmodern criticism does not directly attack inspiration or historicity of the Scriptures but instead launches subtle attacks on the authority of Scripture, seeks to undermine sound interpretion of Scripture, and reject any claims of absolute or foundational truth.

I hope to accomplish through this blog the documentation of current events relating to this apostasy. I also hope to stir up the righteous remnant that God always preserves. Methods of countering this apostasy can be found as well as fundamental teaching on these topics to be posted on DallasCarter.net
